Meet the RIPE Badge
Respected Information Protection Educator
Protect private information. Share tested knowledge. Help others learn.
Knowledge grows when we share it
The foundation of RIPE badges is respect for private information and the sharing of reliable, tested knowledge drawn from experience. We want to connect people who can share what they have learned, compare evidence and build understanding together.
In a world full of information, it helps to distinguish observations, opinions and claims. Firsthand experience provides useful context; checking sources and welcoming questions helps the community assess it. Our aim is education and self-improvement.

Respect the person behind the information
RIPE badges are intended to recognize members who respect other people’s privacy and their freedom to converse, learn and make mistakes. Confidential information entrusted to a member should remain confidential.
Experienced members can guide newcomers toward useful references and share the skills of their professions. The planned apprenticeship approach connects people who want to learn with people able to teach from experience.

Three ways to take part
Learn to Earn recognizes learning and participation. Teach to Earn recognizes members who share their knowledge. Play to Earn brings games and quizzes into the educational experience.
Collectible NFTs and INFO tokens are intended to help record these contributions. Proposed future benefits include RIPPE merchandise, community events, newsletters and special access. Specific availability and eligibility will be explained when a program launches; tokens are not a promise of cash or guaranteed merchandise.

A progression built on contribution
The proposed badge scale begins at 100 for new members and progresses toward 10 for VIP participation. In this system, a lower number represents a higher proposed level. Levels 1–9 are reserved in the concept for the RIPPE core team. From level 25 downward, each badge gains a more pristine finish to reflect increasing community responsibility. Levels 20, 15, 10 and 5 each have their own refined treatment; level 5 illustrates the core-team concept.
Higher levels may have additional participation requirements and community access. Planned verification may include a live interview and a wallet transaction. These steps alone do not guarantee a person’s identity, competence or the truth of their claims.
Some lower-level collectible badges are intended to be transferable. Higher-level qualification badges are intended to be nontransferable and awarded only to eligible participants. Actual transfer rights and requirements depend on each published collection and its contract.

Community roles and future opportunities
The concept includes experienced members helping with interviews, welcoming new contributors and running events. A future managing-member program may recognize that work with periodic INFO token allocations, subject to its published rules. Tokens are not a substitute for compensation required by law or separately agreed paid work.
A community marketplace for goods and services is also planned. Marketplace access, rewards, supported chains and other proposed features remain subject to development and published terms.
